A large group of several hundred tourists are set to arrive at Sai Gon Port tomorrow as part of a Voyages of Discovery cruise.
Most of the 900 tourists are from England, and the group will spend eight days exploring Viet Nam.
The tourists will visit a number of famous places, such as the Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho southern province, Bao Dai King Palace in Nha Trang central city, the ancient capital of Hue and Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh, which has been recognised as one of the natural wonders of the world.
Their journey across Viet Nam will end on December 30.
Doan Thi Thanh Tra, a representative of the Saigontourist Travel Service,one of Vietnam travel companies, said that during this year, the company served more than 115,000 foreign tourists on famous cruise ships, including Costa Classica, Costa Romantica, SuperStar Virgo and SuperStar Aquarius.
The country expects to welcome one million tourists from cruise ships by 2015, according to the Viet Nam National Administration on Tourism.
