On November 22nd, the National Tourism Administration of the Republic of Korea held a Roadshow introducing the country’s tourism to Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City. The RoK is now one of the leading partners of Vietnam travel agencies and vice versa.
Ho Chi Minh City and Busan is cooperating to develop tourism and share experiences in taking part in cultural and tourism events, such as International Travel Expo (ITE), a gastronomy festival featuring dishes from around the world in Ho Chi Minh City, Busan International Travel Fair (BITF) and the World Gastronomy Festival in Seoul.
In 2010, Ho Chi Minh City greeted more than 350,000 RoK tourism arrivals. In 2011, an estimated 50,000 Vietnamese tours arrivals went to the RoK through the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, a 20 percent increase from the previous year.
