The Noi Bai International Airport said more than 27,000 passengers entered and left Ha Noi on 299 flights via the airport in the first three days of the New Year.
The passengers were mostly foreign tourists and overseas Vietnamese who entered Ha Noi to visit their homeland and people who left the capital city for other countries and territories worldwide.
Notably, most international tourists who arrived in Ha Noi during the New Year days came from China, Japan, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea, European and American countries.
The figure showed a sharp increase in the number of passengers who made entry and exit procedures at the Noi Bai International Airport compared to the same period last year.
This positive signal reflects the strong and comprehensive development of the capital city as well as the efficiency of the Vietnam travel agency and the customs sector's reform efforts.
