Next weekend is Halloween and while students try to think of weird and wonderful costumes and schools are preparing ghoulish programs to tease their pupils, some restaurants and hotels under management of Saigontourist will offer food programs accordingly to celebrate the season of trick or treat.

Rex Hotel (141 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, Dist. 1, tel : 3829 2185)

This year’s Halloween party will be hosted in the hotel’s Rooftop Garden a week tomorrow which is an ideal bar to take in a panoramic view of Saigon at night. The highlight of the party is that customers can interact with famous models in disguise and can join dancing with professional DJs. Tickets are priced at VND990,000 per adult and VND400,000 per child, inclusive of buffet, wine, beer and other drinks.

Hotel Continental Saigon (132 Dong Khoi St., Dist. 1, tel: 3825 7679)

As part of the program called ‘Night of vampires’ from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., guests will have a chance to enjoy the animated atmosphere of Michael Jackson’s dance show, disguises, a Halloween fashion show, bartender performance, Ghouls Idol game and dance music. Guests will be served typical food and drinks decorated in Halloween-style.

Tickets for the October 30 bash are priced at VND550,000 per adult and VND390,000 for kids.

Can Gio Tourist Park (Long Hoa Commune, Can Gio District, tel: 3874 150)

The Broccoli Restaurant at the Can Gio Resort will host a Halloween night from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 29, featuring 25 dishes accompanied with punk music. The restaurant will offer many promotions, including a free wine or beverage for guests in costumes, two prizes worth VND2 million for a couple with the most impressive costumes, there is also a 30% discount for guests booking before October 25. Tickets are priced at VND190,000.

Palace Hotel Saigon (56 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, Dist. 1, tel: 3829 2860)

The Calibre Charner will host Halloween nights from 6:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. from October 28 to 31. In a mysteriously and eerily-decorated space, diners can enjoy a finger food buffet with more than 20 dishes served by ghosts. Female guests will be given a free cup of Halloween cocktail and free beer and soft drinks during the party. On the last two nights, there will be DJs to play Halloween-style music with awards for best-dressed guests. Tickets are priced at VND349,000 per person.

At the Golden Palace on October 30 and 31 evenings, a program ‘Halloween whisper’ will be hosted, serving many dishes such as pumpkin soup, pumpkin salads, grilled lamb, steamed rabbit with wine and pumpkin sweet soup. Guests will be served by staff disguised in bloody costumes with ghostly masks.

The program ‘Mysterious Halloween’ will be hosted at the Lotus Center on October 30. Guests will receive a buffet and take part in Halloween games. Guests will be given a free Halloween cocktail and drinks during the party. Tickets are priced at VND450,000 per adult and VND200,000 for kids.
