The performance of the host team Da Nang-Viet Nam at this year’s Da Nang International Fireworks Competition (DIFC2013) will take “Da Nang-Viet Nam Under the Sun” as its theme.
It is expected to thrill the audience with its high aesthetic value and melodious background music, featuring Vietnamese traditional instruments like the monochord and the 16-chord zither which is similar to a mother's lullabies. The performance will feature numerous beautiful lighting effects from several different firework launching locations.
The performance will be divided into 4 parts. The 2nd and 4th parts are expected to be the most interesting. They will be performed to background songs Vu Dieu Trong Nang (Dance In The Sunshine) and Da Nang Duoi Mat Troi (Da Nang Under The Sun), which are respectively composed by musicians Do Bao and An Thuyen.
The performance will showcase the beauty of Da Nang with its white-sand beaches, new modern bridges crossing the Han River, and attractive tourist destinations such as the Marble Mountains and the Son Tra Peninsula. The aim is to send international friends an invitation to the beautiful, friendly and peaceful city.
The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Da Nang Military Command and Head of the Da Nang-Viet Nam fireworks team, Colonel Nguyen Truong Ky, said that the team’s performance will showcase the great efforts by the local authorities and residents to make significant achievements during the city’s progress, regardless of the many natural disasters. It will also reflect the beautiful and peaceful life of the seaside city. He added that he and his team members are trying their best to make their performance ever more impressive despite technical difficulties.
