Lanta-Viet Nam, a subsidiary of Russia’s Lanta Tour, has paid its VND10 billion debt to 17 resorts at Mui Ne town in southern Binh Thuan province.
Nguyen Van Khoa, chairman of the provincial tourism association said on February 11 that the last of 309 Russian Lanta-Tour visitors have return to their homeland safely.
Those getting stranded in Mui Ne were all treated well and helped to return home ahead of time, although Lanta-tur stopped operating on January 27.
Khoa said the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has planned to organize some sports and tourism events in the province to lure more visitors from the Russian market.
The Vietnam travel agency will also take part in MITT, the biggest tourism fair in Moscow, from March 21-24.
