Authorities in Bac Ninh Province have approved VND172 billion to build Luy Lau Cultural Center in Thuan Thanh District in Build-Transfer form, the Vietnam News Agency reports.
The project will cover an area of 58,000 square meters, including a multifunctional hall with three storeys with a seating capacity of 500 people, two floating houses for water puppet shows and traditional artistic performances together with two outdoor stadiums. The work also has two exhibition galleries and a communal house.
The project is expected to be completed in late 2016.
It is aimed to serve a linking place for local residents to host community activities, traditional events and festivals to promote local culture to tourists. Moreover, the site will be a venue for cultural exchange programs, art projects as well as a place to preserve local culture.
