Day 1 Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temple (L)
This tour starts at 8AM with a private pickup taking you towards the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels. Located 60km from Ho Chi Minh city, Cu Chi is now considered a “heroic district” for its role against the Americans during the war. Legendary for its 220+ kilometers of tunnel systems, this spot is popular for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors alike.
The peaceful surrounding areas make it hard to imagine the destruction, damage and defoliation caused by bombs and mines when Cu Chi was “A Free Target Zone ". The remnants visitors will see reflect the fierce battleground that Cu Chi once was during wartime.
After having lunch, we will travel by road to the Tay Ninh province where you will have a chance to visit the famous Cao Dai Temple. Home of the Cao Dai religion, this area is a unique combination of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity and Islam, boasting colorful, unique and unforgettable ceremonies. In the afternoon we will leave Tay Ninh and make our way back to Ho Chi Minh City around 5:00PM (hotel transfer included).
We would like to express our sincere thanks for considering and (hopefully) choosing to travel with MinMax Travel. We are confident that you will thoroughly enjoy every moment of your trip and every corner of our beautiful country.
