On March 15, in Ha Noi, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism received representatives of the international carrier of Air Asia. Attending the meeting were Deputy General Director of VNAT Nguyen Manh Cuong, leaders of Tourism Marketing and International Cooperation departments.Air Asia’s Indochina Marketing Manager, Ms. Suthatta Thanissara Saksucharita informed that the airline has operated flights from Da Nang, Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and vice versa. Coming to Viet Nam this time, the delegation hoped to study more about information of Viet Nam’s destinations in order to promote Viet Nam tourism and consider the possibility of expanding air routes to other destinations of Viet Nam.Leader of Tourism Marketing Department, Mr. Le Tuan Anh introduced some well known destinations as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Da Lat (Lam Dong), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Phu Quoc (Kien Giang)…, which have tourism potentials and international airports. He also informed some remarkable tourism events in 2013 including Viet Nam International Travel Mart in Ha Noi – VITM (from 18th to 21st April); International Sea Travel Mart in Nha Trang – ISTM (from 6th to 8th June); International Travel Exhibition in HCM City – ITE (from 12th to 14th September); Red River Delta Tourism Fair in Hai Phong (scheduled in October or November 2013). These national and international events would be a chance for participants to survey market, and exchange business opportunities.Speaking at the meeting, Deputy General Director Nguyen Manh Cuong highly valued the visit of Air Asia and said it is an opportunity for tourism cooperation between the two sides. He also confirmed that VNAT will provide tourism information and coordinate to organize famtrip, presstrip for tourism promoting and expanding Air Asia’s route network.Air Asia is one of leading airlines in Asia.
