Lacquer paintings featuring the Vietnamese country and people are on display in Venice, Italy as part of the events during the “Vietnamese Days in Venice ” and marking 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties.
The event, which opened on July 9, is jointly organised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy and the Venice authorities.
The exhibition showcases paintings drawn by renowned painters such as Nguyen Tu Nghiem, Nguyen Sang, Phan Ke An and Tran Van Can. The works help Italian art-lovers and international friends know more about the development of Vietnam’s lacquer arts.
