the first Forest Festival to take place in Dong Nai

Vo Thi Thu Trang, the Director of the Dong Nai Tourism Promotion Centre said the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee will hold a seminar to get more contributions from experts and representatives from localities in Cat Tien National Forest and non-governmental organisations to the final plan to organise the event.

This 4-day event is expected to take place in the Dong Nai World Biosphere Reserve and in Sac Forest in Nhon Trach District with the focus on forest protection and forest resources preservation and the daily activities of ethnic groups around the National Forest. Besides, there will be interesting activities such as: mountain climbing, camping and sports competitions.

Forest tour is a new trend for Vietnam travel agency. There are many forests in Vietnam can offer to tours, for example, Cuc Phuong , U Minh , Cat Tien , Phong Nha... The forest tour promises to attract more and more local and international tourists

Dong Nai Province will submit a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to ask for the permission to turn the Forest Festival into a biannual event.
