Da Lat is already well-known as a cool hill resort town in Lam Dong Province. The city has natural characteristics that are conducive for flower growing, and is now famous as the flower capital of the country.Vietnam travel agencies take many tours to Da Lat in a year.

Promoting Da Lat as a flower festival city will help develop the culture, socio-economy and tourism in the province. Flower trade will flourish and also create a good image for the country in the international market.

The city now aims to become a “high-quality” eco-tourist destination by offering a variety of entertainment, recreation and healthcare services.

Local authorities will focus on enhancing community awareness of environmental and natural landscape protection and traditional architecture to help Da Lat become a high-quality tourist center.

The city has achieved a yearly average economic growth rate of 13-14 percent with the tourism sector accounting for 72 percent of the city’s annual revenue.

Local authorities have built many roads linking Da Lat with neighboring cities and provinces like Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Dak Nong, besides its major National road No.20. There are also daily direct flights to the city from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
