Beach tourism season to be officially launched

According to the Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourism Beaches, the official opening of the Da Nang beach tourism season 2013 will take place at Son Tra District's Eastern Sea Park and local tourism beaches from 29 - 31 March. The 3-day event will feature a wide range of sporting and cultural activities.In detail, a dove release ceremony to mark the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang, and the 2nd drawing competition for children themed “Da Nang - My Seaside City”, will be held at the Eastern Sea Park.In addition, there will be various cultural activities in the city during the festival, such as calligraphy, portrait drawing, “bai choi” (singing while acting as playing cards), and a musical performance entitled “Blue Sea”. Souvenir stalls, tourism and cultural products, consumer goods, food and beverage, along with Quang Nam Province’s delicious traditional specialities will be provided for local residents and visitors to enjoy.Furthermore, there will also be thrilling shows using speedboats and jet-skis, pulling banana boats and parachute surfing, plus a swimming competition for sea lovers and a coracle race.Many tours, including one around the Son Tra Peninsula, diving to explore coral reefs by glass bottom motorboats and coracles, fishing with fishermen, and paintballing will also be available for visitors.
