Snappers given chance to shoot Red River Delta

Amateur and professional photographers are being given the chance to show their photos of the Hong (Red) River Delta at a photo contest launched by the culture ministry's Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, it was announced in the capital yesterday.The theme of the contest is Discovering the Hong (Red) River Delta Civilisation and it is aimed to introduce the culture, people and landscapes of the region so as to promote tourism there.Each photographer can send an unlimited number of 30cm by 40cm pictures, either in colour or black and white, to the organisation's board before June 28.One first, two second and three third place cash prizes will be awarded.An exhibition of the award-winning photos is expected to be held in Hai Phong this August.
