On December 2nd, private airline Vietjet Air (VJA) announced it officially joined the Vietnam aviation market.
VJA was the first licensed private airline to operate both domestic and international flight routes in Vietnam. It will use the model of a low-cost carrier with a new fleet of Airbus A320.
Initially, the airline will operate flights on the Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi – Danang route and expand its operation to other domestic flight routes in 2012.
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced it will launch direct air routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to the UK capital city of Lon don from December 8th.
The airlines will use Boeing 777 aircraft and offer four flights a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
This is perhaps good news for the Vietnam travel agency.
