Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has announced recently that it plans to open direct flights from Hanoi city and Ho Chi Minh City to London from December 8 this year on Boeing B777-200ER aircrafts.
Initially the national carrier will operate four flights a week on this route and later increase the number of flights to seven a week by 2014.
This will be the fourth direct flight to Europe by the national carrier which already flies direct to Paris, Frankfurt and Moscow.
The United Kingdom is one of the top trading partners of Vietnam in the European Union. Last year, rely on the statistics of the Vietnam travel agencies: there are 90,000 visitors from the UK arrived in Vietnam, up by 28 percent over the previous year.
Presently, more than 47,000 Vietnamese are residing in the UK.
