Vietnam airlines's domestic fares increased
The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will increase its ticket prices on domestic routes by up to 15-20 per cent from December 15th.
Accordingly, new prices are determined by 5 different distances with up to 20 per cent price rises for economic class and 5 percent for business class.
Vietnam Airlines will increase by 15 per cent airfares on high-demand routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Da Nang and 20 per cent on other short routes.
In addition to new ceiling prices by the Ministry of Finance, the carrier will offer some fares 50 per cent lower than the ceiling prices; as a result, the airline will have 10 different fares on its local routes.
Accordingly, the lowest price on flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will be at VND 1.05 million (41 per cent of the highest price), depending on booking dates and flight schedules.
