The Sai Gon Travel Service Company (Saigontourist) welcomed 750 passengers and crew members aboard the luxury cruise liner Spirit Of Adventure to Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh on February 24.
This is the first time the ship has brought tourists to Vietnam in 2012. The visitors, mostly from the UK, are on a week-long visit along the coastline of Vietnam calling at Ha Long, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
After docking at Cai Lan port, the passengers went on a tour to Ha Long Bay and visit Bai Chay town and Vung Vieng fishing village before moving on to the capital city of Hanoi.
The visitors returned to Quang Ninh later to explore Yen Tu pagoda and Dong Trieu ceramic village before leaving for Da Nang at 9pm tonight.
They will arrive in Da Nang on February 27 and go sightseeing in the beautiful coastal city of Da Nang, in addition to visiting Phong Nam village and Hoi An ancient town.
The ship will then sail to Nha Trang on February 28 to visit the Institute of Oceanography, Po Nagar Cham Tower, Long Son pagoda and Vinh Ngoc village.
According to Vietnam travel agency, the tour will finish in Ho Chi Minh City on February 29 and leave Vietnam on March 1.
