The People"s Committee in central Quang Nam Province has revoked permission for the development of a tourism project worth US$7 million because the developer has not followed the implementation schedule.
The project, aimed at building an eco-tourism area called Hon Ngoc Hoi An II in Dien Ban District"s Dien Ngoc Commune, attract domestic and foreign tourism, received an investment licence in October, 2008.
Regulations require projects to begin within six months of receiving an investment licence.
The Han River La Perla Co Ltd, a Dutch-Vietnamese joint venture, was assigned as the investor.
However,this project promises to bring major benefits for Vietnam travel companies.
