Vietnam Airlines will stop all its flights to and from Hue’s Phu Bai Airport between 20 March and 20 November whilst the airport’s runway is being upgraded. During this time, passengers who wanted to use the Hue airport will use the Da Nang international airport instead. As a result, there will be 7 daily return flights between Ha Noi and Da Nang and 9 between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang from 20 to 30 March. Then, starting from 31 March, the airline will increase the number of daily flights on those routes by 1 or 2, increasing the capacity by between 184 and 368 seats per one-way flight per day.Passengers who have already reserved tickets with arrivals and departures on flights to/from Phu Bai Airport during the above period will be re-routed to flights taking off or landing at the Da Nang International Airport at no extra charge. If required, refunds will be accepted for tickets issued during this period without any limited conditions. Those who want to re-route their flights to or from localities other than Da Nang will be also accepted, but they will have to pay any additional fees.
