First food festival for coastal provinces and cities to open

The first food festival for coastal provinces and cities will take place from April 11-15 in coastal Vung Tau City, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

The festival is a large-scale event with 120 stalls by businesses involved in tourism, trade, industry, agriculture, fisheries and processed food from 29 coastal provinces and cities throughout the country.

The stalls will introduce and sell specific products of provinces and cities in order to present the outstanding characteristics of Vietnam’s cuisine to visitors, as well as maintain the traditional cuisine of the nation. At the same time, the festival also creates conditions for businesses to introduce their products in the market, boost production and business to increase economic growth, ensure social security and attract tourists to Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

In addition, the festival will also organize contests between specific dishes, cooks who perform the most attractive cuisine art on-site, display items made of fruits, and art performances.

The festival will be a chance for businesses to exchange experiences and improve their quality of service. The event will also introduce visitors to the active, coastal Vung Tau City with plentiful tourism and cultural activities.

The festival will be co-organized by the Vung Tau People's Committee, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Industry and Trade, and Association of Tourism in Vung Tau tourism market in Thang Tam ward, Vung Tau city.
