Emirate Airlines of the United Arab Emirates will open a direct flight to Ho Chi Minh City in an effort to expand its operation in Southeast Asia from June 4th.
Emirate Airlines Chairman, Tim Clark said that the opening of the new flight is aimed at tourists and businessmen mainly from Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Ho Chi Minh City is amongst the most active development destinations in Southeast Asia. This is a gateway for tourists to discover Vietnam’s USNESCO-recognised heritage sites such as Hoi An Ancient Town, Halong Bay, Nha Trang Beach and the floating market in the Mekong River Delta.
HCMC will be the 124th destination of Emirate Airlines in the world. Mr. Tim Clark believed that the new flight to Vietnam will be successful and he also showed his expectations of enhancing the companies partnership with Vietnam in the near future.
Trade exchange between Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates exceeded USD 24 million in 2010. Through commodity transport services, Emirate Airlines made active contributions to the growth of the trade relations between the two countries.
