Da Nang-Haneda direct flights to open soon
During his meeting on Monday with Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Mr Van Huu Chien, the Deputy Mayor of Japan’s Yokohama City, Mr Takashi Suzuki, expressed his delight at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish bilateral cooperation with Da Nang to mark the 40th anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties. In addition, the visiting guest shared his experiences with the city leader about rapid population growth, congestion and environmental pollution. He also promised to make every effort to open Da Nang-Haneda direct flights as soon as possible.Chairman Chien said that his city is giving top priority to promoting the opening of new Japan-Da Nang direct flights soon, as well as cooperating with Japan in developing seaports , especially the Lien Chieu Port project. He asked the Deputy Mayor to call for more businesses from his city to invest in the local hi-tech and IT zones, and to help Da Nang to successfully organise a workshop in Yokohama City in August, which will call for investment in Da Nang’s Hi-tech Park.
