About 40 fliers to compete in Paragliding Competition 2013
As part of activities in the 2013 Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous programme, the Da Nang Paragliding Competition 2013 will be held from 28 - 30 June at Son Tra Peninsula.
The event is being co-organised by the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ha Noi Paragliding Club.
This year’s competition is expected to see the participation of about 40 outstanding and experienced contestants from domestic and foreign paragliding clubs. They will compete in 7 stages in the accuracy landing category. The paragliders will take off from a height of 571m above sea level and land at Son Tra District’s Tho Quang Beach.
First, second and third prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding male and female domestic and foreign paragliders. In addition, the same prizes will be given to the best 3 Vietnamese contestants in recognition of their outstanding performances.
