Dao Hong Tuyen, Chairman of Tuan Chau Corporation, on January 31st, said that the Corporation will put into operation the Ngoc Chau Cruise Ship Terminal, at a total cost of more than VND3,000billion, with a capacity of over 2,000 passengers in 2012.
The Ngoc Chau terminal was built on an area of over 83 ha over the past three years by 21 investors and was constructed using about 200 kinds of motorised vehicles of both land and waterway.
The terminal includes six-kilometer system of ports and stations, modern roads and parking-lots around the ports and many port facilities to supply water, electricity, light, contact information, gas and oil and systems to prevent and fight fire.
Ngoc Chau port, located to the south-west of Tuan Chau Island, is near various sigh-seeing sites in Ha Long Bay, will be Vietnam’s most bustling port system.
Especially, a three-floor station, built on an area of about 24,0000 square meters, will provide numerous attractive restaurants, entertainment areas for children, supermarkets, souvenir shops and offices for Vietnam travel agencies, shipping companies to introduce Ha Long.
