Dien Bien - reminding of splendid memories!

Dien Bien, one of the most famous highland provinces in Vietnam, is remembered mainly by the bunkers and shelters of French Army, which were left over after Dien Bien Phu battle in 1954. Among them, De Castries Bunker ( the head quarter of French Army at that time, led by General De Castries) is the most worthy one to visit.

Moreover, Dien Bien also has Pa Thom cave, located between Laos and Vietnam and believed to be the holy place by Dien Bien people. Nevertheless, coming to Dien Bien, visitors can buy traditional clothes with the best quality among North highland areas.

Pa Thom cave:

Parts of Pa Thom Village, the spectacular Pa Thom is located to the west of Dien Bien District adjoining the border between Vietnam and Laos.

Dien Bien Phu Victory Historical Site:

Only 500 km to the West of Hanoi, the battle ground in Dien Bien Phu is a well-known site marking a vitorious exploit of Vietnamese people in the Indochina War.

De Castries Bunkers:

The underground shelter of French General De Castries is located in the centre of Dien Bien Phu Garison in Muong Thanh, Dien Bien.

Although here have to suffered from the war's destruction, Dien Bien are changing itself to an attractive site with many interesting travel services.
