- 2008 - Safe for tourists. Single woman motorbiking to various destinations had no negative experiences such as theft, harassment, etc. The biggest crime heard of was of someone whose sandals were stolen when she left them outside her bungalow overnight. However, the bungalow owner was very helpful and lent her a pair of shoes until she could purchase a new pair.
