There is a deposit required for booking, and the amount depends on the tour that is selected (generally, 30% of the total fee). This deposit can be made internationally via Bank Transfer or paid in person if the tours are booked in country.

After the tour is selected and confirmed, customers must pay a small percentage of the trip as a down payment (depending on the tour selected). Payments are made directly to MinMax (see our banking details in the Payment Section on our Terms & Conditions Page) via Bank Transfer. The remaining amount of the trip can be paid in full upon arrival at one of the MinMax Travel offices.

At MinMax Travel, we always hold the customer’s satisfaction above everything else. That’s why we never charge a cancellation fee for a trip that has previously been booked. However, if there are any fees for cancellation that occur outside of MinMax Travel (transportation, airline fees, hotel cancellations, etc.), the balance must be paid out by the customer. Upon booking, we will send the customer an updated form of cancellation policies for all parties included in the package (transport, accommodation, etc.), ensuring that there will be no confusion or misunderstandings in the event of a cancellation.

If your Bank Card was not accepted or declined, it could be due to either insufficient funds or a payment block placed on your card by the bank. Before traveling, always inform your bank of destinations you plan to visit to avoid any unwanted payment blocks. Visitors should try to book tours as soon as the flight and vacation plans are definite, though we are often able to arrange last minute travel plans as well. After receiving your tour request, our team of professionals will look into the logistics and availability, and respond back to you with the results. After receiving your acknowledgement and plan to book, the tour will be confirmed and a down payment may be required.

Yes! Simply provide us with the tour request and the personal details of the person/group you are organizing the trip for, and the MinMax Travel experts will do the rest.

After your trip is booked and confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate any changes that need to be made. MinMax will not charge the customer any fees for changing a booking, though external fees (changes through airlines, transport companies) may apply.

For a complete booking, we will need your full name (as it appears on your passport), nationality, date of birth, gender, passport number, place of issue, date of issue and date of expiry.

Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia’s safest destinations. Violent crime is nearly non-existent, and tourists are held in high regard all over the country. As anywhere else in the world, petty crime does exist, so when you’re traveling or visiting big cities, keep your belongings close, don’t carry valuables and be mindful of hanging bags, swinging cameras and purses.

The seasons change all throughout the country, so the best time to visit depends on where it is you’re heading. Northern Vietnam experiences winter (cold and mostly dry) from November to April, with January-March being the coldest months. Summer runs from May-October, with hot, humid and rainy conditions (July-August with the most rainfall). Southern Vietnam experiences the dry season from December to June, with March-May being extremely hot; the wet season runs from June-November. Central Vietnam’s hot, humid & dry season runs from February to early August, and the chilly, wet season runs from late August-January

Bargaining is one of the most exciting aspects of shopping in Vietnam. In nearly all markets, local shops and street stalls, bargaining is accepted and widely practiced. In more upscale shops, convenience marts or places with clearly fixed prices, bargaining is not permitted.

No. Tipping is not practiced or required anywhere in Vietnam. However, if you feel a service, trip, meal etc., was exceptional, a token of gratitude is always appreciated.

Visitors should not drink water from the tap in Vietnam. Filtered and treated bottled water is available all throughout the country; always make sure your purchased water bottle is sealed before you open it. There are also large 20-gallon water jugs inside restaurants and hotels where visitors can refill their personal canteens; a safe and sustainable way to stay hydrated in Vietnam.

No. In most major cities and popular tourist destinations, you will not have a difficult time finding ATM machines. Even in smaller, more rural towns you will be able to find a ATMs, though it is always recommended have Vietnam Dong on hand, in the odd case that there is not an ATM handy

Though Vietnamese is the language of the nation, almost all people in the hospitality industries (from hotels/resorts and homestays to restaurants and shops) speak English very well. With tourism constantly rising in Vietnam, English is becoming more predominant throughout the country. Though the tonal Vietnamese language is considered to be a bit tricky for foreigners to grasp, locals are always willing to help a tourist get by!

Vietnam is extremely well connected with the Internet. Almost all hotels and guesthouses offer free, speedy WIFI, and many restaurants & cafés offer the Internet as well (to paying customers). For those traveling without smart phones, laptops, iPads, etc., there are many Internet cafés found throughout the country where visitors can use the Internet for very small fees.

Most hotels, mid to high-end restaurants and large shopping centers accept major credit cards. However, many local shops, markets and small eateries may not, so it’s always encouraged to carry Vietnam Dong with you as well. If you’re not sure whether a place accepts credit cards….ask beforehand!

Vietnam has no direct “visa on arrival” service. Visitors must either obtain a Vietnam Visa from their local Vietnam Consulate or obtain a “visa invitation letter”, which enables them to pick up a pre-arranged visa at a major border point (Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang International Airport). Visa “invitation letters” (obtained through private companies) can cost anywhere from 15$USD to 45$ USD. Customers who book through MinMax Travel are given a FREE Vietnam Visa letter, enabling them to pickup and pay for a visa on arrival.
