More activities in the Summer Rendezvous programme
The 2013 Da Nang - Summer Rendezvous programme will officially begin at 7pm on 29 June at the Eastern Sea Park. This annual event aims to promote the city’s beach tourism brand name.
This year’s programme will run from 28 June to 3 July, and most of the activities will be held at the Eastern Sea Park or on Pham Van Dong Beach and Son Tra District's Tran Hung Dao Street.
The 6-day festival will feature various cultural, sporting and tourism activities aiming to attract more domestic and foreign visitors to the city. It will offer many new and fascinating activities, such as the Art Football Festival Day, an X-game bike performance, the Da Nang Paragliding Competition, and a Korean arts programme.
In addition, there will be thrilling shows using sail boats, jet-skis, banana boats and parachute surfing, plus a swimming competition for sea lovers and a triathlon, along with speed eating and drinking competitions.
Many tours will also be available, including around the Son Tra Peninsula, diving to explore the coral reefs, fishing with fishermen, sightseeing boat tours on the Han River in the evenings, and adventure sliding at Hoa Phu Thanh Resort.
